For me the problem is that you need to start recording on an I-Frame
first. I deal with that by skipping NAL units that doesnt start with a
keyframe. Otherwise you get trash at the beggining.

Hello,
we have an ip-camera streaming via rtsp (h264/AVC) at 5 fps in hd
resolution,
we're trying to record .mp4 file with openrtsp. Recorded stream looks
like beeing freezed at the first received frame, though Vlc and ffplay
can playback with no issues the stream (in vlc by the way it was
necessary to provide a bigger inbound cache from the original 333 ms).
the recording works flawlessly with cameras with higher framerates,
but we have problems when facing low framerate. What could be the problem?
here's our openRtsp calling arguments (to record every minute with
.mp4 format):
-4 -F rec -n -P 60 -f 5 -b 250000 -D 10 rtsp://192.168.30.160
<http://192.168.30.160>
i tryed increasing the network buffer cache but doesn't seem to target
our problem.
i tryed -B 250000 along with previous options, with no success.
Hope you can help us,
Thank you so much,
