It is not, and any attempts I've made to upgrade it have failed.
(It has various other issues that we have to live with too)

Is this running the most up-to-date version of Brickcom's firmware?

One of the implications of the LGPL is that Brickcom must, upon request, 
upgrade their firmware to use the latest version of the "LIVE555 Streaming 
Media" software, or else provide a way for you to perform this update yourself.

(This applies to *any* product that uses our software.)
