That’s the thing. The manufacturer wants you to also buy one of their DVRs, and hook the camera up to this. The “software they provide” seems to work only by accessing the DVR. But I don’t want to buy their DVR (because I have my own client/recording software :-). Instead, I want to access the network camera directly.
