The "MPEG2IFrameIndexFromTransportStream" class (which is used to implement the "MPEG2TransportStreamIndexer" application) can read from any source that delivers discrete 188-byte MPEG Transport Stream packets (one at a time). So it can read from a MPEG Transport Stream UDP source, provided that each UDP packet contains only a single 188-byte Transport Stream packet.
You should note, however, that 'trick play' operations will work only with a fixed-size Transport Stream file (with a corresponding fixed-size 'index file'). So you can't do 'trick play' operations on a file while it's still growing. Ross Finlayson Live Networks, Inc. http://www.live555.com/
