Unfortunately, the problem is your 'back-end' server. It is incorrectly packaging RTP (and RTCP) packets over the TCP connection (to your proxy server). Based on the symptoms that you are seeing, it is very likely that the back-end server has been implemented using an earlier, buggy version of the "LIVE555 Streaming Media" software. If this is the case, then - as one of the consequences of the GNU LGPL - they *must* upgrade their server's software, upon request, to use the latest version of the LIVE555 library. Please tell me how I can contact the provider of your back-end server, so I can remind them of their legal obligation. If the back-end server will not upgrade their software, then you have only two choices: 1/ Use a different back-end server, or 2/ Stream from the back-end server using UDP, not TCP.
