Both "1.mp4" and "2.mp4" played OK for me with both VLC and QuickTime Player (on Mac OS X).
However, in QuickTime Player there was a green band at the bottom of the window - which suggests that perhaps you gave "openRTSP" incorrect height and width (i.e., "-w <width>", "-h <height>") options. Ross Finlayson Live Networks, Inc. http://www.live555.com/
