This issue has come up a couple of times in the past - usually with 'Vivotek'
IP cameras.
It turns out that it's the IP camera - not the "LIVE555 Streaming Media"
software - that's non-standard. See

Please tell your IP camera manufacturer to remove the
qop="auth",
string from their "WWW-Authenticate:" strings, and thereby properly conform to
the RTSP standard.
