Thanks for the note. I've just installed a new version (2013.11.14) of the "LIVE555 Streaming Media" software that adds a new option -g <user-agent-name> to both "openRTSP" and "playSIP". (Note: "-C" option was already for a (previously) undocumented option.) I didn't add your proposed second option, because there's already an option "-I <interface-name-or-address>" that does this.
