Sorry, but right now I can't reproduce this. Could you please post a stack trace from the point of the crash?
Also, to help track down what might be going wrong: 1/ Does the crash happen even with an up-to-date version of VLC (rather than one that's more than 3 years old)? 2/ Does the crash happen even when the proxy server accesses its 'back end' stream using regular RTSP, or does it occur only when the proxy server access its 'back end' stream using RTSP-over-HTTP?
