This is the case where I hit the MAX_PACKET_SIZE.
It looks like the heap gets corrupted and therefore the freeing of the packet 
(in debug mode on Windows) throws an access violation.

I am gonna test with a larger buffer size to see if I can avoid the issue, but 
is there something special that needs to be done to handle this case.
