Thank you for suggesting the reason for possible failure in streaming testMPEG1or2AudioVideoStreamer behind network firewall. It is indeed the case, as you have correctly pointed that firewall does not support multicast routing. But I face the same problem if I run the testMPEG1or2AudioVideoStreamer in unicast mode also. Can you please advise, why does this problem appear even when I run the testMPEG1or2AudioVideoStreamer in unicast mode.
Perhaps you're not doing it right. Or perhaps your firewall is causing more problems. But, in any case, I really don't care, because you also said (in your first message) that "live555MediaServer" - streaming unicast via RTSP/RTP - worked OK for you. So that is what you should be using. RTSP is the best way to set up unicast streams; do not fight it.
