Hi,Guys! I had added a h264 payload into live555Media server. But I can't smoothly play a H264 file, its size is 108,333,536 byte and its playing time is 255 second.
After simple analysis, I found live555Media Server spent 30 seconds sending about 1000 RTP packages. If we suppose that one RTP package have 1500 bytes (Max MTU), the max sent byte number in 30 seconds is about 1000*1500 = 1,500,000, the max sending rate is 1,500,000/30 = 300 K byte/s.(2,400K bit/s) So I want to know, Can I smoothly to play a media file which is over than 300K byte/s. and How? I tried to play a .m4e file using the latest live555MediaServer as server, after catching packages, I found the average RTP sending rate is about 20 package/s. Notes: I use quicktime, realplay as client, using ethereal to catch the package. The local network is enough.
