Can anybody tell me, is it possible to stream video to mobile phone using live555?
Yes - many people have done this (playing streams served by our RTSP server).
For this to work, the phone has to be able to to play streams using "rtsp://" URLs. (Several 'smartphones' handle such URLs OK, although some - including Apple's iPhone - do not.)
Also, the phone's network provider needs to support access to the public Internet. (Some providers d; some don't.)
Finally, of course, this will work only for media codecs that the phone can handle.
