Because there's tons of bugs in the version you use and they have already been 
fixed over the years. Probably it is incompatible with some other/newer clients 
or with the OS you use.
0.674 is released in 2006 which means it is not tested in any of the currently 
Windows versions, including Win7. It is actually pure luck that it's still 
running you don't have more serious issues with it.

If a hub does not allow you to use the latest most stable and secure
version then you have to bear the consequences of using an obsolete one.
Or you upgrade and choose another hub. Sorry, there's nothing we can do
with a bug in a nearly 12 year old version of DC++.

Title:
  DC++ crashes when i open a particular user's file list

Status in DC++:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  When I open the file list of a particular user only DC++ crashes, I
  can open other file lists without the crashing. I am instructed to
  upload the crash report and that is why I am here.  I am running
  windows 7 ultimate and using DC++ 0.674
