What we already know that this problem always happens with heavy usage of DC++, beeing connected to large number of hubs. It does not depend on OS or any hardware resources.
To to get it down to a single hub is one path, yeah. Another one is to try to run in the usual set of hubs but without this extremly large download queue. If you could back up your current queue file and try with an empty queue that'd give another piece of information. We haven't considered the large queue as a factor yet but now I can see that at least 3 reporters (including you) have that. For information how to find and back up your queue file, follow http://dcplusplus.sourceforge.net/webhelp/faq_settings_files.html It requires finding the file Queue.xml in a possibly hidden folder and and moving to a safe place during the test. Skip this If you're unsure what to do as any wrongdoing can result the complete loss of your queue. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Dcplusplus-team, which is subscribed to DC++. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1265204 Title: DC++ has encountered a problem and needs to close Status in DC++: Incomplete Bug description: For a long time now I get this message “DC++ has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.” Sometimes I come back later after starting it up and it will just be gone, closed. This happens randomly, sometimes immediately, sometimes hours, sometimes a day after restarting it. I have been saving the error .txt messages from the user temp folder. I have installed older versions, re-installed various versions. Cleared out any and all temp files and items relating to DC++ in the registry. Purchased another better, faster computer, re-installed clean version of XP pro and DC++ and still get this. Otherwise it works perfectly while it is running.
