It can be done with custom drawing which I did something similar for duplicate files (diff name, same tth) and many DC++ derivatives do it, but it can cause serious hangups when your share is enormous so as much as I'd personally like to see this happen it more likely won't be implemented due to the potential resource usage.

It would be nice if, when the option is deselected (so files already present in the share are shown) these files (the files already present in the share) would seem "different" from the other files (perhaps the color, or an icon), so the user could see "this I have, this I have, this I have NOT". If this would be a problem (because you aren't owner-drawing the ListView) then even an extra column would be ok.
