linking the 2 connections to a user is the point of steps 2 & 3. when a user B connects, if that user has the same CID but a different IP type (v6 / v4) than another user (user A) already connected, then user B's IP is added to user A's INF and user B is then discarded. user A then has 2 IP fields in its INF (I6 and I4).
