I have a Boundless Tech ViewPoint TC that has 4mbyte flash soldered onboard *appart from bios flasf that's on a different chip. Details of the board: amd 5x86 cpu cirrus clgd5446 vga (2Mb on board) ali 1487/89 Chipset amd 29F010 flash for bios 2 amd AM29F016B for a total of 4Mb (that probably hold the citrix client software) 2 72pin dimm slots 1 floppy connector 1 40pin ide connector 1 isa connector 1 pci connector I can boot from bothe floppy or HD if neaded (so I have linux running on the machine whenever I wish). Is it possible to access the 4Mb flash from linux ? I did a little fiddling with mtd devices bit got nowhere probably bothe because I have no idea what mtd driver I need and also because I'm totally ingorant on the matter (I probably also need other software too). Is it bossible to use the 4Mb flash to boot linux without freebios/linuxbios ? (the original bios can boot it's software from there) Is it possible to get freebios/linuxbios to work on this board ?
