Well, don't get me started on that either. Re Apple--one thing they *did* do locally was make space available for the NYCBSD group. They do, as was said, at times, give back. Mr. Jobs seems to put the doody in doody-head, but every Apple employee I've ever deal with professionally has been noticeably helpful and competent, whether in the stores or over the phone with work related issues. I reckon that part of that high price of their things goes into hiring good customer service people and training them well.
