alternativly, with the sunxi sid driver, it can be read from sysfs,
/sys/devices/platform/soc@01c00000/1c23800.eeprom
@paul, is there still a digit limitation on the cpuinfo serial? last i
checked (3.4) it could only hold 16? bits.

to /proc/cpuinfo
Support for reading the serial number was added with this commit:
