Yes, I have not forgotten about it :) I got busy with other things but now I got some time to work on this again.
On the DMA side, as Jon was saying, it needs to be reworked a bit to support multiple normal transactions simultaneously after AW confirmed it's possible to do so. On the ALSA side, the DAPM code needs a bit more of love, especially on the capture side. There's also the double registration of widgets issue to take care of.
