This an example of how you can register your driver.

    {  
         I2C_BOARD_INFO("i2c_xx", 0x12),

    },
};

static struct platform_device *sw_pdevs[] __initdata = {

    ...  
    i2c_register_board_info(?,ARRAY_AND_SIZE(i2c_board_info_xx);  
    ... 
}
