This was already the case:
blacklist {
wwid 36d0946602a45b90021ea0ad7be95622a
devnode "^(ram|raw|loop|fd|md|dm-|sr|scd|st)[0-9]*"
devnode "^hd[a-z]"
devnode "^cciss!c[0-9]d[0-9]*[p[0-9]*]"
devnode "^asm/*"
devnode "ofsctl"
device {
vendor "iDRAC"
product "scrtch"
}
device {
vendor "DELL"
product "IDSDM"
}
device {
vendor "iDRAC"
product "MAS022"
}
device {
vendor "iDRAC"
product "SECUPD"
}
device {
vendor "iDRAC"
product "SMINST"
}
device {
vendor "Linux"
product "SECUPD"
}
}
So, it doesn't _seem_ to be that.

I am going to guess you have multipath enabled. You need to blacklist
the devices used by dsu.
Check how we do it in ansible:
https://github.com/CSCfi/ansible-role-dell-firmware-upgrade
https://github.com/CSCfi/ansible-role-dell-firmware-upgrade/blob/master/files/multipath_dell.conf
https://github.com/CSCfi/ansible-role-dell-firmware-upgrade/blob/master/tasks/multipathd.yml
