What's STPC?

        >terminal that will require ethernet ability and we have finally
        >(yahoo!) have a customer that wants to give a linux a try.

Our customers use Linux terminal running Java POS.

        >We have 2 boards (our designs) that use the STPC and this would be

Mix of our designs and 3rd party's here.

        >the 3rd. Both the previous designs come up using the Tiny BIOS
        >package we bought and then boots DOS from a SanDisk in IDE mode.

Free Etherboots works excellent, pulls image with minimal rootfs from NT,
mounts remotefs from NT via SMBFS, boots X, Java and finally POS all
from remote box. No buying TinyBIOS, SanDisk, paying DOS licensing fees
is necessary.

        >This dude will need to boot out of EPROM or flash and will only
have
        >either 4 or 8 megs of ram depending on what chips we can pack on
the

JVM is a resource hog so our terminals use much more than that, but I
currently
implement new design that will allow to get away with 16 and hopefully 8.
