Yesterday, Nigel received a request from his ISP hosting www.exim.org to
take down several exim.org mailing list posts under the UK and EU
Data Protection Act (1984 and 1998). If you want to read its text,
you can get it by searching google for:

  "Data Protection Act site:gov.uk"

Nigel sent this mail to the Exim.org mailing lists:

http://www.exim.org/pipermail/exim-users/Week-of-Mon-20020422/037986.html

This poses us a similar problem. I don't want to fall foul of the
Data Protection Act in the same way, so I'm considering the options.
Specifically, the problem areas are:

1. The mailing lists linux-arm-kernel, linux-arm and linux-arm-announce.
2. The patch system.
3. The bug system.
4. The machine registry.

There are several possiblities open to us. However, I will need to
consult various legal sources before I can take proper action.

It is highly likely that I may disable access to the archives, patch
system, bug system and machine registry until this mess can be sorted
out.
