Not really, I did it using both:
  serial line and also a
  jtag based flash programmer.

I get the error.. it is able to uncompress few blocks, then I get <blk<stor..
(by enabling the debug in inflate.c)

Any registers that are to be initialized before jumping to 0xc0800000?

I havent copied the ramdisk yet.  I thought ramdisk will be picked
up by the kernel later, so planning to put the ramdisk @ 0xc0100000
once kernel reaches that stage.
