Dear Mr. Tao,

>I use binutils2.9 gcc2.96-xscale to cross-compile glibc2.2.4,

I'm interested in this problem, and I'm going to reproduce it.
However, my ARM machine is DEC StrongARM-110 rev3 based, I have
no Intel XScale machine, so I cannot check if the built binary
is working well on Intel XScale.
Anyway, please let me know:

(1) revision of binutils2.9 - real vanilla binutils-2.9?

(2) gcc2.96-xscale is essential for your purpose?
other gcc-2.95.x (buggy optimization for ARM)
    or gcc-3.0.x are not good?

(3) glibc-2.2.4 (vanilla? or with some RedHat patches?)
is essential for your purpose? how about 2.2.5?

Regards,

mpsuzuki
