Hi, root=1f04 means that filesystem is present in MTD partition 5(generally JFFS/JFFS2 filesystem ).As MTD has support for only JFFS files you cannot use a ramdisk and except root=1f04 to work.All MTD devices generally have major number of 31(which is 0x1f). Say root=0100 if you want to use ramdisk. You can get ramdisk,jffs image from nicolas pitre site in www.arm.linux.uk.org Use blob-1.0.8-pre-2 and any kernel with default assabet configuration and i think it should work without any changes Rgds Anand
