Hi all, From my point of view LOD and the Semantic Web are still far away from being integrated into the everyday Web - although we have already quite some bubbles in the LOD cloud ;-)
In order to get the large open-source Web developer communities (whose Web applications such as Drupal, PhpBB, Wordpress, Typo3 are fueling large parts of the Web) more involved we will conduct a LOD Triplification Challenge at this years I-Semantics [1]. A preliminary call for contributions is available at: http://triplify.org/Challenge The aim of the challenge is to expedite the semantification of Web applications and datasets as well as raising awareness and showcasing best practices. In order to attract a large number of high impact contributions OpenLink and Punkt.at already agreed to sponsor some cool prizes (Macbook Air, EeePC). However, the biggest impact will be achieved, if we together try to explain the LOD benefits to the larger Web developer community. Please have a look at the current call for contributions and let me know, if you have ideas for improvements. We would also need a third sponsor - maybe you can convince your employer to sponsor €700 for this cause?
