Oops, seems my reference got cut off. Well, mostly the same: Documentation/out-www/en/extending.pdf from git://git.sv.gnu.org/lilypond.git or https://lilypond.org/doc/v2.25/Documentation/extending/property-alists if you prefer a web address. So let me restate the questions... What is a symbol, it is mentioned once in the pdf mentioned above ? Reading other texts it seems it is some glorified enum, is that so ?
