Hi,

After some little tricks, I finally got Licq + qt-gui
to compile under OpenBSD 3.1-current. But
unfortunately, when I try to start licq, I get:

$ licq
[ERR] Unable to load plugin (qt-gui): No such file or
directory

Okay, a look at licq -h and a glance at the FAQ
pointed out that I should specify the complete path
to the plugin. But when I try:

$ licq -p /usr/local/lib/licq/licq_qt-gui.la
I get:
Unable to load plugin
(/usr/local/lib/licq/licq_qt-gui.la): Inappropriate
file type or format.

So I ask,

a) What am I doing wrong ?
b) Shoudn't the plugins be .so files, so that they
could be dynamically loaded ?

I would be very pleased if anyone could help.

Cheers,
Pedro
