Hi Gwenole,

We noticed that some VC-1 changes are committed to 0.4 branch as well.

Just double confirm, will 0.4 branch be maintained for a while, right? As you
know, some product is still using 0.4 branch.

Thanks,
Jocelyn

Subject: [Libva] [ANN] gstreamer-vaapi 0.5.1 (unstable)

Hi,

A new version of the Open Source GStreamer plug-ins with VA-API support is now
available at:
<http://www.freedesktop.org/software/vaapi/releases/gstreamer-vaapi/>

Version 0.5.1 - 29.Jan.2013
* Add simple decoder demo that only uses libgstvaapi
* Fix thread-safety issues in the Wayland renderer
* Fix VC-1 decoding bugs #692461, #692312, #692271, #692270, #692267
* Fix decoding of VC-1 videos in AVI containers (Feng Yuan)
* Fix H.264 parser to zero-initialize key syntax elements
* Fix MPEG-2, H.264 and VC-1 decoders to submit all decoded frames on <EOS>

More precisely, VC-1 decoding fixes and improvements include:
- Add support for multiple slices per frame
- Add support for CLOSED_ENTRY, thus also avoiding an assert() in some VA
drivers
- Fix bitplanes decoding with an odd number of macroblocks
- Fix a possible buffer overflow while extracting RBDUs from EBDUs
- Fix various parser bugs related to VOPDQUANT
- Fix decoding of WMV3 videos encapsulated in AVI format

PS: you also need recent enough intel-driver (from git master) to complete the
VC-1 decoding bug fixes. There is no particular requirement for PVR, NVIDIA and
AMD drivers.

Regards,
Gwenole.
