Hi,

Hope everyone very well.

Im working on a memory tracking tool that gets linked at run-time via
LD_PRELOAD. It's using libunwind to get stack trace information. With most
of the test applications its working fine but, there is one that libunwind
always crashes with the stack trace:

Libunwind 1.2.1.

Is there a way to bypass it or its is a bug? Can CONSERVATIVE_CHECKS
(https://github.com/pathscale/libunwind/blob/1fcbfc649837d2a28e1901986437ca6bf9c4f4d4/src/x86_64/Gstep.c#L61)
build flag solve this?
You can try CONSERVATIVE_CHECKS. There is also a known issue if the
memory is mapped, but without PROT_READ. A potential fix is here:

Hi

I just tried CONSERVATIVE_CHECKS and it didn't help. Will try the pull request and let you know.

Many thanks!
