Follow-up Comment #2, patch #8843 (project libtool):
It looks like every 5 years or so I return to this problem, only to confirm
that it's still there and still not fixed. I understand the need to be
patient, but, still, a single word patch languishing for almost 9 years must
be some kind of a record.
