Hi Jonathan, I have also interested in the fix. I have found a useful closed issue in this area: https://issues.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=107254. Also a relevant post: http://lists.cairographics.org/archives/cairo/2007-February/009452.html. Maybe I can fix the problem with an improved Linux Libertine G and Biolinum G. I will make a test and give some feedback.
