Hello LibreOffice Team,
My name is Prajwal Shelar, and I have submitted a GSoC 2026 proposal
titled *“UX Enhancement and Context-Aware Interface for LibreOffice
Writer.”*
The proposal focuses on improving usability and feature
discoverability in LibreOffice Writer through a context-aware adaptive
UI layer, including a dynamic toolbar system, beginner mode, and
command search functionality.
I would like to actively contribute to LibreOffice beyond the proposal
and have started setting up the development environment and Gerrit. I
am currently looking for beginner-friendly EasyHacks, preferably
related to UI/UX or Writer, to get familiar with the codebase and
contribution workflow.
I would really appreciate your time and support.
To find easyHacks that have already been fixed, you can search in the
"keyword" field in bugzilla, e.g.
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/buglist.cgi?component=Writer&keywords=easyHack&list_id=1983856&product=LibreOffice&resolution=FIXED
But I am not sure the "easyHack" keyword is currently actively used.
