Hi LibreOffice Support / The Document Foundation,
I’m currently using *LibreOffice 24.2.0.3* in a backend rendering
pipeline that integrates with *Docmosis‑Java*, which internally relies
on the |soffice --headless| command to convert documents (typically DOCX
to PDF).
In this context, I’d like to ask:
1.
Is *LibreOffice 24.x headless mode* stable and production-ready for
continuous CLI usage in automated environments?
Yes.
Are there any *known regressions or behavioral differences* in
LibreOffice 24.x when used in Java-based integrations (e.g., via UNO
bridge or subprocesses) like Docmosis?
No.
Is there a *preferred build or patch level* of LibreOffice 24.x
recommended for use in server-side headless conversions?
Thanks for maintaining such a powerful suite — looking forward to
your input.
Preferably you would *not* use 24.2, because it has been out of support
since Nov 2024. Better to use a supported version such as 25.2 or soon 25.8.
