No idea about that failure, but the first thing I would do is replace that CPPUNIT_ASSERT(a==b) with a CPPUNIT_ASSERT_EQUAL(b,a) to get better CppUnit output about the failure---maybe that will ring a bell with somebody. (And do push the resulting patch to gerrit.)
