I know this s bbroken right now, too, but shouldn't we (if we add this version), then fix the big-endian stuff, too? (As we don't use the cmake build we need to sett he -DWORDS_BIGENDIAN manually, I think we can rsue and export the variable we use in configure anyway. Can come up with a patch tonight...)
