Hi Sand, If you want to start from the architecture, I'd recommend reading https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Development/Code_Overview.
Because that can be quite daunting, LO developers usually recommend to start with one of the https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Development/Easy_Hacks <https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Development/Easy_Hacks> and get a feel for the code and the project.
