I'm looking at my 3rd bug in a row that seems to come from under-tested
commits to convert tools/ types to boost / std container types. In this

It would be wonderful if you could suspend this conversion work, and
post each patch for approval before you push it to master. I assume you
are testing & trying to exercise each piece of code you touch here ?

particularly any new crashers lurking around the place.
