I am running Debian Squeeze (which was testing until recently) on AMD64
with now LO 3.3.1RC2. My LO version is from the LO-website, not from
Debian.
In parallel I have the Debian OO.o 3.2.1.
Both start with about the same time, not more than 5s. So with this
version I cannot confirm your observation.
