Just a quick question : Say I want to develop a python module that bootstraps LibO on Mac from outside the LibO application - will this work on OSX 10.6 bearing in mind that the Apple supplied version is Python 2.6 and mac ports is offering version 2.7 ?
I saw that Christian proposed some patches that enabled this possibility with respect to the OOo source code http://qa.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=111496 but it appears they never got integrated. Any idea whether they are in the LibO tree ? If they are, which bit version of python needs to be invoked, 32bit or 64bit ? I guess 32bit ? Is there a variable for this ? I'm starting to see people develop / want to develop python solutions to run OOo/LibO, but I'm a bit confused as to what is actually possible, and on which platforms / OSes.
