Whether hiding is easy and flexible doesn't matter for calculations, hidden content, and performance. The majority accepted the use case and welcomes an option to set a hard limit for rows and cols. Could be a radio button at Tools > Options > Calc > Defaults with Spreadsheet Size: (o) Standard (1M rows) ( ) Very Large Spreadsheets (16M rows) ( ) Limit Size Rows: <1048576> Columns: <16384> (maximum for both) The scrollbar issue should be handled in a different ticket.
