Well I can tell you for sure that the mysql connector extension doesn't even build on OSX with master any more, and hasn't for a while. I opened a bug report ages ago, but it got closed as invalid. I've had to resort to using AOO's volunteer (via the ODK) built mysql connector extension, but haven't tested it recently on OSX master builds.
