Sigh, I wonder where the "Enterprise ready" moto started :-) Anyway, both versions should be on the same level of stability and usability now. It means that both version should be usable by most users for most tasks. Of course, there are bugs in both versions. Some bugs are fixed in 3.4 and were not backported to 3.3. Also there are some new bugs in 3.4. But this evolution is normal for any software. I guess that we will soon remove 3.3 from the download page to make space for 3.5 on mirrors. Also we will not longer fix security bugs there, so once there is a security bug, people will need to switch to LO-3.4 or 3.5. Note that LO actually has longer support. The older project released 3.0.0, 3.0.1, 3.1.0, 3.1.0, 3.1.1, 3.2.0, 3.2.1 in a row. People were forced to update from 3.1.1 to 3.2.0 immediately if 3.2.0 included a security fix. > and there isn't anyone who can say which are the differences and which one > should companies adopt... > E.g. > http://nabble.documentfoundation.org/Differences-between-LibreOffice-3-3-and-3-4-tt3518436.html The most interesting differences are summarized at http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/ReleaseNotes/3.4 > Currently there are two "rock solid" versions. It might take some time until people understand the new release model. I am sure that they will get better picture and see the pattern with 3.5 release. > I'm not in panic. For example, we might improve wording in the release notes. If you have any idea, share it :-) Best Regards, Petr _______________________________________________ List Name: Libreoffice-qa mailing list Mail address: [email protected] Change settings: http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-qa Problems? http://www.libreoffice.org/get-help/mailing-lists/how-to-unsubscribe/ Posting guidelines + more: http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Netiquette List archive: http://lists.freedesktop.org/archives/libreoffice-qa/
