behaviour occurred.
Dear LibreOffice developers,
I have noticed something strange in Writer. When I am working on a document and
scroll through the pages, a white line with the width of the page will
sometimes appear above and under the pages. The lines seem to appear more often
when the scrolling is done slowly and almost never appears when I scroll very
fast. When you are not at the very top or bottom of the document, so for
instance between page 1 and 2 in a two-page document, two lines can appear.
Sometimes, though, only one of the possible lines will appear. Sometimes only
the two outer edges of the white lines appear.
This seems to happen with every .odt and .docx document I tried. I have not
tried other file formats. Although it is not a very important issue, this is
probably not desired behaviour, so I thought it would be best to report it.
Steps to reproduce at top of document:
1. Create a new .odt or .docx document.
2. Scroll so that the top of the white page starts to disappear.
3. Scroll back slowly.
4. The white line will appear.
Steps to reproduce in middle of document:
1. Create a new .odt or .docx docuemnt.
2. Make sure you have at least two pages (no text required).
3. Scroll past the space between the pages.
4. Scroll back slowly.
5. The white line(s) will appear.
The steps to reproduce this at the bottom of the document are similar.
I would not expect these lines to occur, irrespective of the scrolling speed.
I am using Linux Mint with the pre-installed LibreOffice suite. My application
background is a dark grey, probably automatically imported from my Linux Mint
settings.
