Bug ID: 151792
Summary: In presenter view, Impress seems to remove formatting
from notes
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 7.3.6.2 release
Hardware: All
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: LibreOffice
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Unless I miss something, when in 'presenter' mode, i.e. when actually giving a
presentation, the formatting of notes - the boldface and italic, and indeed I
think vertical whitespace - is ignored, i.e. does not show.
Or at least this happens with note formatting that I created within PowerPoint,
and saved as a PowerPoint file. I do not have time to test at present whether
the same fate - viz., being ignored - happens to note formatting, in presenter
view, when that formatting was created within Impress and/or when a native
Impress file-type is being used.
This removal of formatting from notes is a serious inconvenience: I added the
formatting precisely to help me when I am giving the presentation. Further:
this problem exacerbates, and is exacerbated by, the problem that, in presenter
view, one can scroll the notes only with great difficulty. There is an existing
bug report for that. Just now I tried, and failed, to find that report.
