I have a new laptop now, so don't know if this will help at all. My grandson
was using the old laptop and LibreOffice lost one of his docs, but he
uninstalled it.
In both my case and grandson's, laptop was closed. When opened, instead of
showing the document recovery page, there was nothing. And the documents
disappeared.
