Modified version of the file filled with text in Word and Writer
Looks like Word actually hides the empty footer. The setting is preserved, but
hidden from view.
Filling up the document with text, saving it and opening in Writer has the same
layout as in Word.
So maybe this is not a terribly huge loss.
